NydTiden is a spare time project that I work on whenever I have the time and something interesting to say/write. In here I will post some of the projects I do and updates on what is going on around me.

The site may be updated regularly, but may also go stale for long periods of time. Check in once in a while, to see if anything new has popped up.

My name is David and I’m 25 years old. I work at Aveva as a programmer where I mostly make customer specific plugins for the Aveva ERM solution. After deployment I support these customers and their customizations as needed.

I got my education as a computer scientist from UCN where I graduated in late January 2017. Before that I spent about a year trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.

I finished the basic introduction course to the IT-supporter/Data technician education in 2013 at Technology College Aalborg. Unfortunately that didn’t lead to anything, which is why I decided to try out UCN.

My school life started in Guldbæk, the small town in North Jutland where I was raised. I started in the kindergarten where my mother worked and later went to the private school there until I graduated seventh grade. After that I went to “Bavnebakke Skolen” in Støvring. I had a few good years there before graduating ninth and later tenth grade and moving on to Business school in Aalborg.

In my sparetime I spend quite a few hours on scouting, mostly as a scout leader. I enjoy working with the scouts and teaching them new skills and values. I also spend some time planing courses and other scouting events, both in my local scout group and with others.

Some of my other hobbies include working with paracord, outdoor activities, programming, bench watching Netflix/HBO and drinking special beers. Most of these will also be reflected on this side, in various ways.
