About a week ago I ordered a bunch of beer on this website, and today they showed up!
As you may know I enjoy good beer. Especially special beers that you don’t see every day. So, I figured, why not try and find some interesting beer online? So, I did. On Specialøllen.dk I found loads of interesting beers in all price ranges and started putting a batch together to try. I ended up with 9 individual beers, from all over the world, that I haven’t tried before, and a beer Christmas Calendar with 24 beers from Thisted brewery. A few of the beers I am especially excited about are the Fur Barley Wine, the Hitachino Espresso Stout and the Lucky Buddha.
The Fur Barley Wine is a Barleywine with an ABV of 9,5%! There is not much to say about it at this point, but I am really excited about trying it.
The Espresso Stout is a Japanese Stout, probably with strong coffee. The Stouts are not always my favorite, but some of them are very good. And I wouldn’t pass up a chance to try some Japanese beer. It’s not every day you get beer from Asia. Actually, you might, depending on who you are and where you live. My point is, it’s not that common for me to drink Asian beer.
The last ‘honorary mention’ is actually also an Asian beer. This time from china. It’s called Lucky Buddha and the bottle has no front label. Instead the glass is molded as a Buddha (Or Buddha like) figure on the front, which is very interesting. Not that the bottle changes the taste of the beer much, but it gives a special feeling drinking special beef from a special bottle.
I will be rating the beers on Untappd when I drink them, so go friend me there, if you are interested in beer!
To wrap this up I would like to give a shout-out to Specialøllen.dk for their great service and large selection of interesting beers. I had ordered the beers to a package delivery spot, but was contacted by Specialøllen.dk because they had a man in my area, who could deliver right to the door at no extra cost. And who doesn’t like beer delivered at the front door??
